Cricket Australia, the governing body of Australian cricket, has officially announced the schedule for this series. On March 26, Cricket Australia announced the schedule of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 to be held between India and Australia. According to this schedule, the first Test match between India and Australia will be played in Perth from November 22, which will be hosted at the new Optus Stadium in Perth.

Team India will play its second match of this series between December 6th-10th, which will be played at the Adelaide Oval. This match will be a day-night test. It is known that India has only played 4 day-night test matches so far, winning 3 and losing 1. The third test match of this series will be played at the Gabba Ground in Brisbane between December 14th-18th, which holds a significant place in Indian test history.

Meanwhile, the fourth match of this series will be played in Melbourne between December 26th to 30th, which will be a Boxing Day test match. The fifth and final match of this series will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, between January 3rd-7th.
