“Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul have been ruled out of the second Test against England, which starts on February 02, 2024, in Vizag,” the BCCI stated in a media release. The medical staff at BCCI is keeping an eye on both of their developments. The left-arm spinner Saurabh Kumar, the all-rounder Washington Sundar, and Mumbai batsman Sarfaraz Khan have been selected by the selection committee for the second test team. After making a lot of runs in his home cricket league and most recently in the India A series against the England Lions, Sarfaraz is taking on his first national duty.
The selection committee has added domestic run-machine Sarfaraz Khan, the hard work of Sarfaraz Khan in domestic cricket rewarded with his selection today, and left-arm spinner Sourabh Kumar from Uttarpradesh off-spinning all-rounder Washington Sundar to the squad. This will be the inexperienced squad for India since 2011, Rajat Patidar who replaced Virat Kohli for the first two tests is likely to make the test debut at Vizag vs England.
