Initially, the U19 World Cup 2024 was supposed to be held in Sri Lanka. However, due to tensions between the Sri Lankan Cricket Board and the ICC, the venue was shifted to South Africa. The tournament is set to kick off on January 19, 2024, leaving very little time. A total of sixteen teams have qualified for this World Cup, including both major and emerging cricket-playing nations.
