Let us tell you that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has issued a tender for the title sponsor of IPL 2024 and this tender was issued on 12 December. All companies can participate in this till January 8. After which whichever company wins this tender will be made the title sponsor for the entire 5 years. Because this time BCCI has issued the tender for 5 years. In such a situation, nothing can be said at this time whether Tata’s name or Vivo’s name will appear in the next IPL season. Or some other company will prevail. We will know about it only later. But right now we are going to tell you about the title sponsors of all the IPL seasons so far.

DLF (IPL 2008 to 2012)

IPL started in the year 2008, the season in which DLF’s name first appeared as the title sponsor, which had the privilege of being the title sponsor of IPL from 2008 to 2012. DLF had given Rs 40 crore for the contract for four years. After which BCCI had taken a huge amount to extend the contract for one more year. Delhi Land & Finance is an India-based real estate development company that was established in 1945 and gained fame as the title sponsor of the IPL.

Pepsi (2013 to 2015)

After DLF, Pepsi became the second title sponsor of IPL, which spent about Rs 79.2 crore annually for it. Pepsi was offered its sponsorship for five years. But due to some reasons he ended it before 2017. And after that a huge jump was seen in the title sponsors of IPL. When Vivo became the title sponsor for the remaining two seasons of Pepsi.

Vivo (2016 to 2020)

After Pepsi’s withdrawal, Vivo sponsored the IPL for the next two years, for which it paid Rs 100 crore and earned a lot of fame. Vivo which is a Chinese phone manufacturing company. For him, this was just a beginning and he made a huge bid before the 2018 IPL to win the title sponsorship for the next five years. During this period, Vivo gave approximately Rs 439.8 crore to BCCI every year. However, due to the military standoff between the Indian Army and the Chinese Army, it was canceled in 2020 even before the contract expired. Indian fans criticized the company, and calls to ‘Boycott China’ became popular. After which Dream 11 showed its strength for the 2020 season.

Dream11 (2020)

After Vivo’s withdrawal, Dream 11 stepped forward for the title sponsor in the IPL 2020 season and did this deal for Rs 222 crore. Dream 11 is a fantasy game platform, which is a way to earn money by creating online teams. However, Dream 11 came only for one season after which Vivo again entered.

Vivo (2021)

Vivo was back once again after Dream 11. In the year 2021, the company gave Rs 439.8 crore for the title sponsorship. It was made the title sponsor of IPL for five years. But due to the military conflict between India and China not decreasing, he had to go out once again and in such a situation, Tata entered this race.

TATA (2022 to 2023)

As the sponsors of IPL, Tata entered the IPL 2022 season where it won its sponsorship rights by paying around Rs 355 crore (per year). Tata is India’s largest commercial and entrepreneurial group. It has worked to sponsor the IPL in the 2022 and 2023 seasons. In such a situation, in the upcoming season it remains to be seen who wins the tender and who will become the next title sponsor.
