They never had a shortage of big-hitters in their side. From Chris Gayle to AB de Villiers, from Virat Kohli to Glenn Maxwell, RCB always possessed a strong unit as far as their batting was concerned.

#5 Faf du Plessis: 67 sixes 

Ahead of the 2022 Mega Auction, Chennai Super Kings had to let go of Faf du Plessis and it was RCB, who snapped him up for INR 7 crore and subsequently made him the new captain of the franchise. 

In his very first season, he smacked 478 runs in 16 matches and took his team to the playoffs. So far, in his career, he has hit 50 sixes for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. 

#4 Glenn Maxwell: 67 sixes

All-rounder Glenn Maxwell was one of the three players who was retained by the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the 2022 Mega Auction. The previous season, he went all guns blazing, smashing 513 runs at a strike rate of 144.10. 

Maxwell hit 21 sixes in the 2021 season and, overall has 67 sixes to his name for RCB in the Indian Premier League.

#3 Ab de Villiers- 238

If there is someone who has etched a place in the hearts of RCB fans after Virat Kohli, it’s none other than AB de Villiers. The South African batter has left a huge legacy behind him in the RCB colours. In his IPL career for RCB, AB de Villiers had played numerous heart-warming knocks and stunned the crowd with his brilliant piece of athleticism on the field. 

He is currently the second-highest run-scorer for RCB in the IPL and has the third most number of sixes (238) to his name for the franchise. 

#2 Chris Gayle: 239 sixes 

The Universe Boss entertained the crowd for many years with his big hitting in the Indian Premier League. Chris Gayle, singlehandedly, won many games and played some of the most iconic knocks for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. In his IPL career, he smacked 239 sixes for RCB- the second most by any player. 

#1 Virat Kohli: 241 sixes 

The heart of the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise, Virat Kohli has been in ominous form in the ongoing Indian Premier League season. He scored his second consecutive half-century in the clash against KKR on Friday.

In the process, he also surpassed Chris Gayle to become the highest six-hitter for RCB in the Indian Premier League. Kohli has now hit 241 sixes in the IPL and all those sixes have come solely for RCB.
