He began his IPL career with the Rajasthan Royals and ended his last IPL season with the Kolkata Knight Riders. Finch is counted among the greatest T20 cricket batsmen, and he scored a total of 2091 runs in 92 IPL matches at an average of 25.19 with his aggressive batting. He has recorded 15 half-centuries in the IPL.

In the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the second-highest in terms of changing teams is India’s top wicketkeeper-batsman, Dinesh Karthik. He has changed teams a total of 6 times so far and is currently a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Karthik made his IPL debut in 2008 for Delhi Daredevils, which is now Delhi Capitals. In IPL 2022, Karthik became a part of RCB, and he has been with RCB for two consecutive seasons. IPL 2024 will mark his third season with RCB.

Yuvraj Singh
The name of the ‘Sixer King,’ Yuvraj Singh, is also included in this list, having played for a total of 6 teams in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Yuvraj made his IPL debut in the 2008 season with Kings XI Punjab and played for the last time in the 2019 season with Mumbai Indians.
During this period, he played for Pune Warriors India, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Capitals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad, in addition to Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians. With his aggressive batting, Yuvraj scored 2750 runs in 132 IPL matches at an average of 24.77 and a strike rate of 129.72. He recorded a best score of 83, including 13 half-centuries. Yuvraj also has 36 wickets to his name in bowling.

Ishant Sharma
One of India’s most formidable fast bowlers, Ishant Sharma, also features in the list of players who have changed teams the most in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Ishant has changed teams a total of 6 times. Making his debut for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008, Ishant is currently a part of Delhi Capitals, which he joined during the 2019 IPL season.
However, there was a season in between when he was not a part of the IPL. During this period, he played for Kings XI Punjab, Rising Pune Supergiants, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Deccan Chargers, in addition to Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals. Ishant has dismissed 83 batsmen in 101 IPL matches as a bowler, with his best bowling figure being 5 wickets for 12 runs.
Robin Uthappa
Indian cricket veteran and former batsman Robin Uthappa’s name is also among the players who have changed teams the most in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Uthappa has played for a total of 6 IPL teams. Making his debut for Mumbai Indians in 2008, Robin played his last IPL match in 2022 for Chennai Super Kings.
During this period, he played for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Pune Warriors India, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Rajasthan Royals, in addition to Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. With his aggressive batting, Uthappa scored 4952 runs in 205 IPL matches at an average of 27.51 and a strike rate of 130.35. He recorded a best score of 88, including 27 half-centuries.
