India’s premier batsman, Rishabh Pant will be playing for the Purani Dilli 6 team in the inaugural edition of the Delhi Premier League. For the unversed, Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) is all set to start their own T20 league to fast-track the development of the players in the state.
The inaugural edition of the Delhi Premier League is all set to take place from 17th August to 8th September. As many as six teams will participate in the first season, namely South Delhi Superstars, East Delhi Riders, Central Delhi Kings, North Delhi Strikers, West Delhi Lions, and Purani Dilli 6.
India’s star players, Rishabh Pant and Ishant Sharma will play for the Purani Dilli 6 in the competition. Lalit Yadav will also be playing in the same team.
Fast bowler, Navdeep Saini will participate for West Delhi Lions alongside Hrithik Shokeen. Rising stars, Harshit Rana and Suyash Sharma have been roped in by North Delhi Strikers, while Yash Dhull is likely to lead the Central Delhi Kings.
Besides, IPL stars such as Ayush Badoni, Anuj Rawat, and Simarjeet Singh will also be making their presence felt in the Delhi Premier League.
A total of 33 matches will be played between six teams in the first season of the Delhi Premier League. All the matches will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
