It is becoming difficult for these 3 players of Afghanistan team to play IPL 2024
Actually, there are 3 players we are talking about. All three of those players are star players of the Afghanistan Cricket Team, who are now finding it difficult to be a part of IPL 2024. Because the Afghanistan Cricket Board has taken very strict action against those three players. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has decided to delay the 2024 annual central contracts for their 3 star players named Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Fazal Haq Farooqi, and Naveen Ul Haq Mureed.
Additionally, the Board has opted not to grant them No Objection Certificates (NOCs) for the next two years. These three players had refused to sign the central contract of the Afghanistan cricket team, due to which the board has taken such a decision. Afghanistan Board has given this information through a press release. These three players only wanted to play league cricket and were not giving that much importance to Afghanistan cricket, due to which such a decision has been taken. Since then, everyone is speculating that perhaps these three players will not be able to play IPL, although nothing can be said about it right now. In such a situation, now it has to be seen what will be the decision of the board regarding IPL.
Mujeeb Ur Rahman
Mujeeb ur Rahman, one of the best spin bowlers of the Afghanistan cricket team, is going to play for Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2024, whom KKR made a part of its team by bidding Rs 2 crore during the IPL 2024 auction. Mujeeb has played a total of 19 matches in IPL history so far, in which he has taken only 19 wickets. Also, he has not been able to play a single match in the last 2 seasons. He played his last match during the 2021 IPL season. The season in which he played only one match. In such a situation, now it has to be seen whether he will be able to play this season or not.
Fazal Haq Farooqi
Among the best fast bowlers of the Afghanistan cricket team, Fazal Haq Farooqi is also finding it difficult to play in IPL 2024. Fazal is going to be a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad during IPL 2024, who has already been retained by his franchise for this season. Farooqi has played a total of seven matches so far in which he has only six wickets in his name, so now it has to be seen how many matches he gets to play during the 2024 IPL season or whether he will get a chance or not.
Naveen Ul Haq
Naveen Ul Haq, one of the young fast bowlers of the Afghanistan cricket team, is also included in the list of three players who are finding it difficult to be a part of IPL 2024. He is going to be a part of Lucknow Super Giants in the upcoming IPL season. Naveen Ul Haq had already been retained by his franchise. Naveen Ul Haq has played a total of eight matches in the IPL so far in which he has taken 11 wickets in his name.
