In fact, Team India is scheduled to play a 5-match Test series against the England team, which is set to begin from January 25th. This has created a lot of excitement among fans, and to further boost their enthusiasm, the BCCI has announced the Indian team for the England Test series. However, the BCCI has only announced the team for the initial 2 matches of the series. Rohit Sharma will once again shoulder the responsibility of leading the Indian team in this series.

It’s worth noting that the team announced for the England Test series is quite similar to the team that toured South Africa. However, young batsman Dhruv Jurel has been included in this team, who has been added as a wicketkeeper in the squad. Additionally, K.S. Bharat has also been given an opportunity in the team. Now, it remains to be seen which players get the chance to play in the playing XI.

However, once again, Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara have not been given an opportunity in this team. Additionally, due to an injury, Mohammed Shami is also not included in the team.

The India-England Test series starting from January 25 is set to be thrilling. The last Test match between the two countries was played in 2022. This concluded the five-match Test series that began in 2021 but could not be completed at that time due to various reasons. In that series, both teams had won two matches each, while one match ended in a draw, resulting in the series being drawn overall.

This time around, viewers can expect an intense competition between the two nations. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, Team India will aim to improve its position in the points table for the World Test Championship 2025 by securing victories in this series. On the other hand, led by Ben Stokes, the England team will be eager to win the series on Indian soil, especially since the last encounter between the two teams during the 2020-21 tour resulted in a convincing victory for the Indian team. In that series, England managed to win only one out of the four matches, while India emerged victorious in three matches. However, achieving this feat will not be easy for Ben Stokes and company.
