During their first innings, India scored 396 runs in 112 overs, with the highlight being a magnificent double century by 22-year-old opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal. In this match, Yashasvi’s innings of 209 runs with the bat marked a historic moment, as it was his first double century in international cricket. Team India displayed an impressive batting performance in their second innings against England, accumulating a total of 255 runs. As a result, India set a target of 399 runs for the English team. In the second innings, 24-year-old young batsman Shubman Gill played a fantastic century-scoring innings, scoring 104 runs, marking his comeback after nearly a year.

During this period, the star all-rounder for the Indian team, Axar Patel, contributed with a crucial innings of 45 runs. Similar to the first innings, England showcased outstanding bowling in the second innings as well.
