India’s Little Sourav Ganguly, Yashasvi Jaiswal

Yashasvi Jaiswal did well in the two-Test series in South Africa, according to Ganguly, who also predicted that the young opener would have plenty of opportunities going forward.

Despite the 22-year-old left-handed batter managing just 50 runs in four innings on the difficult South African tracks of Centurion and Cape Town he showed some class act cricket under tough conditions.

Players Comparing Yashasvi to Sourav Ganguly:

“Although his career is still young, he did well in the second Test. During a promotional event held here, Ganguly stated,

“He will have ample opportunities.”

“Yashasvi is battering like Sourav Ganguly. His cut shots bring back memories of Dada’s earlier playing. He’s got good timing with the ball,” he said.

Yashasvi was chosen as the Playing XI opener, so Gill was moved down the batting order to make room for him. 16 fours and a six helped him reach 171, but he was out after that.

Saba Karim, a former cricket player, compared Jaiswal to Sourav Ganguly. He says the young batter cuts shots like the great captain of India.

Raising as a Promising and Prolific Cricketer:

He has a lot of promise and has achieved it in both red and white ball cricket. He has particularly excelled in red ball cricket. Based on his potential, it is easy to conclude that he has the patience and timing to execute at the perfect moment. Unquestionably, one of the Rajasthan Royals’ most productive left-handed hitters with aggressive intent, he is the player of the future for Indian cricket. He currently plays at the greatest level. The primary similarity to Sourav Ganguly is that he is a left-handed opener who drives offside.

Given his current stats, he will play for India in every format.

When it comes to batting, Jaiswal is like Sourav Ganguly. He bats with aggression and, whether in Tests or T20Is, he keeps his composure while taking on the aggressive style of the former India Kolkata Knight Rider batter.

“Yashasvi performs well in both forms of cricket red ball and white ball especially. He uses his impressive footwork to great effect. His skill set is a hybrid of several Indian players, including Sehwag and Ganguly. Cutting is his best play, and he makes a very good square cut. Few players are as skilled at making an offside play as Ganguly, who is well-known for his offside drives and Yashasvi Jaiswal is one of them.

Looking at his current form and stats:

His statistics show that he is very good in the IPL and international competitions. Given his current form, selectors may choose to include him in the World Cup squad and use him in the major tournament that will be held in the West Indies and the United States from June 4 to June 30.

In the June 2024 Twenty20 World Cup, world cricket gonna witness his exceptional square cut shots from this young left-handed Yashaswi Jaiswal which resemble Ganguly offside shots.

Sourav Ganguly’s record was surpassed by Yashasvi Jaiswal:

Everyone knows that legendary veteran players are comparing Yashasvi Jaiswal’s style of batting with former Indian greatest Sourav Ganguly; now Yashasvi Jaiswal broke Sourav Ganguly’s record of 131 against England in 1996 at Lord’s with his incredible innings.

Records at an early age:

Yashasvi Jaiswal is the fourth-youngest batter in the Indian lineup, He accomplished the remarkable feat of reaching 100 on his Test debut.

The inexperienced Yashasvi Jaiswal became the first player in Indian cricket history to score 171 runs in his first Test match away from home, demonstrating the incredible tenacity of the Indian batting lineup. In his first-ever Test match, he became the 17th Indian batter to reach a century.

However, returning to Yashasvi Jaiswal baby Sourav Ganguly, the cricket player demonstrated nothing but potential to emerge as India’s next great star.
