UP Warriorz Women vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women Match Overview

UP Warriorz Women faced Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women in the 18th match of the Women’s Premier League 2025 on Saturday, March 8, at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. RCB-W won the toss and elected to bowl.

First Innings: Georgia Voll led UP Warriorz Women to the highest total in WPL

Grace Harris and Georgia Voll had a partnership of 77 runs for the first wicket in 7.1 overs. Harris was dismissed after scoring 39 runs off 22 deliveries. Kiran Navgire joined Harris in the middle, and the duo added 71 runs for the second wicket.

Voll remained unbeaten on 99 runs off 56 deliveries. The Warriorz finished with 225 runs for the loss of five wickets on the board. Georgia Wareham was the pick of the bowlers for RCB-W and took two wickets for 43 runs in four overs.

Second Innings: RCB suffered their fifth straight loss of the tournament

Bengaluru added 70 runs in the powerplay but lost two important wickets of Sabbhineni Meghana and Smriti Mandhana. Ellyse Perry was dismissed in the seventh over after making 28 runs off 15 deliveries.

By the end of the 11th over, RCB-W had lost five wickets and scored 107 runs. Richa Ghosh scored 69 runs off 33 deliveries. She was dismissed in the 17th over, and RCB-W had 171 runs on the board.

In the end, RCB-W were bundled out for 213 runs in 19.3 overs and lost the match by 12 runs. Sophie Ecclestone and Deepti Sharma were the most successful bowlers for the Warriorz and took three wickets each.

Georgia Voll (UP Warriorz Women)

  • Voll won the Player of the Match award for her batting performance.
  • She scored 99 runs off 56 deliveries and remained not out. She hit 17 fours and one six during her innings.

Richa Ghosh (Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women)

  • Richa was the highest scorer for RCB-W.
  • She made 69 runs off just 33 deliveries.

Kiran Navgire (UP Warriorz Women)

  • Kiran played a quick knock of 46 runs off 16 deliveries.
  • She had an important partnership of 71 runs for the second wicket with Voll.

Sophie Ecclestone (UP Warriorz Women)

  • Ecclestone was the pick of the bowlers for the UP Warriorz Women.
  • She picked up three wickets for 25 runs in four overs. 

Deepti Sharma (UP Warriorz Women)

  • She picked three wickets for 50 runs in four overs for the Warriorz.

UP Warriorz Women vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women Match Summary

UP Warriorz Women breached the 200-run mark for the first time in the WPL. They finished with 225 runs for the loss of five wickets on the board. It is now the highest score in WPL. In reply, RCB finished with 213 runs before getting all out and lost the match by 12 runs. This loss meant RCB have been eliminated from this edition of the tournament.
