Mark Wood is one of the fastest bowlers in cricket, and his speed can trouble even the best batters. England was hoping he would add extra strength to their bowling attack in the tournament.
However, there has been a concern about his fitness. During the match against Afghanistan, Wood looked uncomfortable while bowling his eighth over. Even though he finished the over, he left the field right after.
There is no official update on his injury yet. But if he is unable to play for the rest of the tournament, England will need a replacement if they qualify for the semi-finals.

Here are three bowlers who can replace Mark Wood
3. Olly Stone
Olly Stone can be a good option to replace Wood. However, has played a few ODIs but hasn’t taken many wickets, but he has the ability to adjust to different match situations and bowl at a good speed. So far, he has played 10 ODIs and taken 9 wickets, but his economy rate is a bit high at over 6 runs per over. Still, his pace and experience could make him a useful player.
2. Ollie Robinson
Ollie Robinson has never played an ODI, but he has done well in Test cricket. He can bowl well with both the new and old ball, making him a dependable fast bowler. His height and accuracy could help England if they need a strong pacer. If given a chance, Robinson might prove to be an important player in the semi-finals.

1. Matthew Potts
Matthew Potts might be the best replacement for Wood. He has already performed well in international cricket. In List A cricket, he has played 19 matches and taken 26 wickets with an economy rate of under 6 runs per over.
If Wood is unable to play further, England might choose one of these three bowlers to strengthen their team.
