of the third T20I against New Zealand at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on
Wednesday.
The 54-ball century was Gill’s first in the shortest format. With master tune,Gill became
the fifth Indian to score centuries across formats.
The 23-year-old from Punjab hit 12 fours and 7 sixes in his unbeaten knock of 126
which came off 63 balls. A blitz from Gill took India to an impressive 234 for 4 in 20
overs.
Gill also now has the highest T20I score by an Indian — 126 not out — follows
Virat Kohli

knock of 118 which came against Sri Lanka in Indore in 2017.

Rohit Sharma
, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli in the list of Indian players scoring centuries in all three
formats.
Gill also scored his individual highest scores of 208 and 126* in ODIs and T20Is against
New Zealand.
Gill reached his maiden T20I fifty off 35 balls with a single off Santner.
Gill brought up his century with a four over the middle fielder off the bowling of Lockie
Ferguson in the first ball of the 18th over. He broke free from the chain and smashed
Ferguson over mid-wicket for a huge six on the next ball
