First Innings: RCB posted a below-par total after losing early wickets
RCB lost three wickets inside the power play and another one just after the power play was over. The team could collect only 38 runs in the first six overs. Liam Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma joined hands and added 52 runs for the fifth wicket. Jitesh made 33 runs off 21 deliveries.
Livingstone continued to play his shots and was dismissed after scoring 54 runs off 40 deliveries in the 19th over. Tim David hit 32 runs off just 18 deliveries, leading RCB to a score of 169 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
Mohammed Siraj was the pick of the bowlers for GT and took three wickets for 19 runs in four overs. Sai Kishore took two wickets, while Arshad Khan, Prasidh Krishna, and Ishant Sharma picked one wicket each.
Second Innings:
Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill added 32 runs for the first wicket. Gill scored 14 runs off 14 deliveries before getting dismissed in the fifth over. Jos Buttler and Sudharsan were in the middle and continued their fine form. These two had a partnership of 75 runs for the second wicket. Sudharsan missed on scoring his third half-century this season and was dismissed for 49 runs.
Buttler, along with Sherfane Rutherford finished the match for GT. Buttler remained unbeaten on 73 runs off 39 deliveries, while Rutherford was not out on 30 runs off 18 deliveries. GT reached the target of 170 runs in 17.5 overs with eight wickets in hand.
