In the third odi between New Zealand and Pakistan Newzealand defeated Pakistan in a match of 42 overs and won the series 3-0 .

In bay oval the match started late because of rain, after rain halting the play for quite some time (approx a hour or something) match started with 42 overs of play from both sides. Batting first, Newzealand put up a total of 264 runs by the loss of 8 wickets and again Pakistan batting disappointed, 264 wasn’t a target that is not hard to chase but they made the target very difficult for themselves and lost the match, in their chase Pakistan wasn’t able to even play 42 overs as they got all out in 40 overs and manage to make only 221 runs. After putted to bat first Newzealand lost the wick of Nick Kelly early in the match but after that Ryse Mariu scored a brilliant 58 , he also got some help from Daryl Mitchell(43) but the hero was Michael Bracewell who scored 59 runs in just 40 balls in the end which let Newzealand reach a very good tatal of 264 In the end. As from Pakistan Akif Javed was the star as he picked up 4 wickets in the match, if it wasn’t for him Newzealand must have scored 300 in this match.
Ben Sears destroys Newzealand:
Chasing 264 ,Pakistan’s Imam Ul haq after scoring just 1 run got severally injured internally and was rushed to the hospital making him not available to bat throughout the match. Then Abdullah Shafique(33) and Babar Azam(58)build up a great partnership but after the wicket of Babar Azam Pakistan wasn’t able to comeback ever in the match. The star bowler from Newzealand was it’s pacer Ben Sears, Sears took a five-wicket haul and rattled Pakistan and they weren’t throughout the whole match look comfortable to chase the target and got all out for 221.
Turning moment of NZ vs PAK 3rd ODI
For me the biggest turning moment of the match was when Abdullah Shafique and Babar Azam where going nicely with 73 runs in 16 overs and where still in contention to chase the target but then the wicket of Abdullah Shafique by Ben Sears change the match as it broke the partnership and Pakistan where never ever came close to win the match again.

In Summary, Pakistan have been awful not just in this series but this year so far first they had a horrible CT2025 where they wouldn’t even qualify for knockouts then they came here and lost both in the t20 series and the odi series and were able to win just 1 match in 8 matches played throughout the tour. Whereas Newzealand with a good CT where they reaches to the finals came here without their best players and still manage to beat Pakistan convincingly and end this tour with bang.
After the end of this tour Newzealand will be on an off season for 2 months after that they will face Zimbabwe and South Africa in a tri series in Zimbabwe as for Pakistan they will also take some rest and from 31st July they will tour West Indies.
