Mumbai Indians Women vs Gujarat Giants Women Match Overview
Mumbai Indians faced (MI-W) in the 19th match of the Women’s Premier League 2025 on Monday, March 10, at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. GG-W won the toss and elected to bowl. Both teams have already qualified for the playoffs and were eyeing the top spot with this match. Also, it was the last league stage game for GG-W.

First Innings: Georgia Voll led Mumbai Indians Women to the highest total in WPL
MI-W lost the wicket of Amelia Kerr in the third over and scored 44 runs in the power play. Just after the power play was done, Hayley Matthews was dismissed for 27 runs off 22 deliveries. Nat Sciver-Brunt and Harmanpreet Kaur provided stability to the innings with a partnership of 59 runs for the third wicket.
Kaur scored a half-century and was dismissed after scoring 54 runs off 33 deliveries. The next few batters added some quick runs to the total as MI-W finished with 179 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Tanuja Kanwar, Kashvee Gautam, Priya Mishra, and Ashleigh Gardner took one wicket each for GG-W.
Second Innings: RCB suffered their fifth straight loss of the tournament
The pair of Beth Mooney and Kashvee Gautam opened the innings for GG-W this time, but they didn’t yield any positive results. The duo managed to add just 15 runs for the first wicket. The top-order failed to capitalize, and no batter managed to score more than 25 runs for the team.
Bharti Fulmali tried rescuing the sinking ship with her knock of 61 runs off 25 deliveries but was dismissed in the 17th over. It all came down to the last over of the match, bowled by Hayley Matthews. GG-W required 13 to win but could score only three runs.

MI-W defeated GG-W by nine runs as GG-W were bundled out for 170 runs in 20 overs while chasing the target of 180 runs. It was MI-W’s sixth win over GG-W in the WPL. GG-W are yet to win a game against the inaugural champions. This win helped MI-W move to second position, while GG-W are in third place now. A win in the next campaign against RCB will help MI-W reach the pinnacle.
