Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya had a partnership of 89 runs for the fifth wicket. Both the batters took the game deep and MI almost crossed the line. MI lost the wicket of Tilak in the 18th over and of Hardik in the 19th over.
The match went down to the last over, where MI required 19 runs to win. Krunal Pandya bowled the over and took three wickets. MI finished with 209 runs for the loss of nine wickets and lost the match by 12 runs. Krunal was the pick of the bowlers for RCB and took four wickets for 45 runs in four overs.
