Kishan walked in with the crowd in Hyderabad cheering loudly. He got off the mark quickly, smashing Maheesh Theekshana for a four in just his third ball. Ishan Kishan Destroys the RR Bowlers
Even after the field spread out, Kishan kept punishing the bowlers. Riyan Parag and Sandeep Sharma tried to restrict him, but Kishan kept finding gaps. He upper-cut Sandeep’s wide slower bouncer over deep point.
Jofra Archer suffered the most. Kishan smashed him all over the ground, contributing to a bowler’s worst-ever IPL figures of 0/76. He pulled a six over fine leg, then stepped away to hit another one over cover. His 25-ball fifty was celebrated with a gesture to his family.
The Big Moment for Ishan Kishan
RR bowlers tried wide yorkers and slower balls, but Kishan adjusted well. He picked his spots and reached his maiden IPL century in just 45 balls. The SRH management backed him to play freely, and Kishan delivered.
After a tough phase of 18 months, where he lost his BCCI contract and India spot, this century was a statement. “If the ball is there, just go for it, have fun,” he said.
