Former IPL players Raju Bhatkal and Bharath Chipli headline Canara Bank’s squad for Tillo Cup 2025
Bhadrak, Odisha, February 6, 2025: Canara Bank has officially announced its 16-member squad for the highly anticipated Tillo Cup 2025, set to take place from February 7 to 16 at the Hanuman Jew Mini Stadium in Tillo, Bhadrak, Odisha.
The squad boasts a strong lineup under the guidance of head coach Syed Rashid Hussain, with former Indian Premier League (IPL) players Raju Bhatkal and Bharath Chipli adding experience and firepower to the team.
Raju Bhatkal, a former Karnataka all-rounder, brings extensive experience to the squad. He previously represented Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL 2012 season and also played in the 2011/12 Champions League T20. His presence is expected to bolster Canara Bank’s middle order and provide a crucial bowling option.
Joining him is Bharath Chipli, another seasoned Karnataka cricketer who has had multiple stints in the IPL. Chipli featured for RCB in the inaugural 2008 season before moving to the Deccan Chargers (2011, 2012) and later to Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals) in 2013.

Canara Bank, drawn in Group A will kick off its Tillo Cup 2025 campaign in the season opener against Union Sporting on February 7 at 12:30 PM IST. The tournament matches will be streamed live on the FanCode app. With a balanced squad featuring experienced campaigners and former domestic cricketers, Canara Bank will be aiming for a strong title run in the Tillo Cup 2025.
