IPL 2025 Begins with Record-Breaking Viewership on Jio HotStar: The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) started with record-breaking viewership. JioStar Network, the official broadcaster, reported massive engagement across TV and digital platforms. The total watch time for the opening weekend was 4,956 crore minutes.

On JioHotstar, digital viewership for the first three matches was 40% higher than last season. Connected TV (CTV) consumption increased by 54%. The platform recorded 137 crore views and a peak concurrency of 3.4 crore viewers. The total watch time for these matches was 2,186 crore minutes.

Television viewership also reached new heights. According to BARC data, over 25.3 crore people watched the first weekend on Star Sports Network. The total TV watch time was 2,770 crore minutes, marking a 22% increase from last year. The average TV rating for the first three matches was up by 39%.
