Indonesia took on Bahrain in the first match of the five-match Bali Bash International T20I Series on Wednesday, February 19, at Udayana Cricket Ground in Bali. Indonesia elected to field after winning the toss.
Bahrain posted a total of 156 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. Indonesia were bundled out for 93 runs in 19.2 overs and lost the match by 63 runs.
Prashant Kurup’s half-century guided Bahrain to a decent total
Fiaz Ahmed and Prashant Kurup opened the innings for Bahrain and the duo added 66 runs for the first wicket. Ahmed was dismissed in the ninth over after scoring 24 runs off 25 deliveries. Bahrain lost another wicket in the 10th over.
Kurup made 54 runs off 39 deliveries before getting dismissed in the 15th over. Ahmer Bin Nasir and Junaid Aziz made 36 runs and 29 runs, respectively. This collective effort helped Bahrain post a total of 156 runs for the loss of six wickets.
Danilson Hawoe and Kadek Gamantika were the pick of the bowlers for Indonesia and took two wickets each.

Sai Sarthak stunned Indonesia with his four-wicket haul
Indonesian batters didn’t have a clue how to bat at this venue. By the end of the sixth over, Indonesia had managed just 19 runs and lost four wickets in the process. The batters could hit only two fours in the Power Play.
Ahmad Ramdoni and Kadek Gamantika added 47 runs for the fifth wicket. However, no other batter managed to make a decent score. Ultimately, Indonesia were bundled out for 93 runs and lost their first-ever T20I game against Bahrain.
Sai Sarthak delivered his best bowling figures in T20Is. He picked up four wickets for 23 runs in four overs. Kurup won the Player of the Match award for his batting performance.
