The main commentator had denied the speculations and misunderstanding occurred and he said that he was not set for that match.

They break the silence a day after the letter from CAD Secretary Mr. Naresh Ojha came across the media. This letter was sent almost 10 days ago to the chief of BCCI, they asked for the removal of Harsha bhogle and New zealand Mr. Simon Doull from the commentary panel for matches of kolkata.The reason cited was their remarks on the Eden Gardens pitch not helping the local franchise Kolkata Knight Riders.

He also said that the commentary rosters are pre decided before the start of tournament matches.
“I was scheduled for two matches in Kolkata. I did the first one, but couldn’t make it to the second due to a family illness,” he said, without mentioning the specific games.
KKR vs Gujarat Titans match was played at Eden Gardens stadium on Monday and they lost the match by 39 runs.
Pitch Conditions Under Scrutiny
KKR captain Ajinkya Rahane & its main coach Chandrakant Pandit have asked for a most spin friendly pitch at the Eden Gardens stadium. They expressed concern over not getting a surface that suits their bowling line-up, which includes Varun Chakravarthy, Sunil Narine and Moeen Ali.
CAB Defends Curator, Doull Reacts
After CAB supported their curator Sujan Mukherjee, Simon Doull suggested that KKR should consider a new home venue, as Mukherjee was not meeting the team’s requirements.
Bhogle had stated that KKR deserved to enjoy its home advantage of home.
