SRH probably has one of the most dangerous batting units in the IPL this season. However, apart from the first game, the top-order has failed in their attempt to play attacking cricket each time and the same happened here. SRH lost their first four wickets for just 37 runs.
Aniket Verma and Heinrich Klaasen joined hands after that disastrous start and the duo added 77 runs for the fifth wicket. Apart from these two, no other batter managed to do anything for the team. Aniket scored 74 runs off 41 deliveries, while Klassen made 32 runs off 19 deliveries.
SRH were bundled out for 163 runs in 18.4 overs. Mitchell Starc was the pick of the bowlers for DC and took five wickets for 35 runs in 3.4 overs. Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets for 22 runs in four overs.
Second Innings: DC registers their second consecutive win of the season
Jake Fraser-McGurk and Faf du Plessis opened the innings for DC and added 81 runs. du Plessis was the first to depart and scored 50 runs off 27 deliveries in the 10th over. Fraser-McGurk made 38 runs off 32 deliveries and was dismissed in the very same over. The next set of batters ensured DC crossed the line comfortably.
DC reached the target of 164 runs in 16 overs with seven wickets in hand. Zeeshan Ansari was the most successful bowler for SRH and took three wickets for 42 runs in four overs.
