Champions Trophy 2025: Prize Money Breakdown for India and New Zealand

India, led by Rohit Sharma, made history by becoming the first team to win the Champions Trophy three times. They defeated New Zealand by four wickets, successfully chasing a target of 252 runs in 49 overs on Sunday, March 9.

With this win, Rohit became the second Indian captain, after MS Dhoni, to claim multiple ICC trophies. His crucial knock of 76 runs off 83 balls earned him the Player of the Match award, making him only the fourth captain to win the honor in an ICC final.

New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra was the tournament’s leading run-scorer with 263 runs in four matches, averaging 65.75 with a strike rate of 106.47. His outstanding performances earned him both the Player of the Tournament and Golden Bat awards. He registered two centuries and hit 29 fours and three sixes throughout the competition.

India has now won 23 out of 24 matches in the last three ICC tournaments, the ODI World Cup 2023, T20 World Cup 2024, and Champions Trophy 2025. In the Champions Trophy, the Indian team has featured in a total of 34 games. The Men in Blue has won 23 out of these 34 games. No other team has won more than 15 matches in the tournament.
