The 2024 IPL Auction was a record-breaking one, with two players entering the 20 croreore club in the tournament’s history. After Pat Cummins bagged an INR 20.5 crore deal from the Sunrisers Hyderabad to become the most expensive player of the tournament, his Australian teammate Mitchell Starc bettered the record to script history. His total surpassed that of Cummins and set a new record at INR 24.75 crore as Kolkata Knight Riders went all out to get the stylish pacer, making him the costliest buy in the history of the Indian Premier League.
