IPl 2025 Match-Fixing: Amid rising friction with the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA), Rajasthan Royals have responded strongly to fixing claims following their 2-run defeat against Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025.

The controversy began after Jaydeep Bihani, convener of RCA’s ad hoc committee, cast doubts on the match outcome, suggesting it might not be genuine. His remarks also hinted at interference, sparking a firm rebuttal from the franchise.

Royals Submit Formal Complaint to State Officials

Responding to the claims made by Bihani, Rajasthan Royals reached out to the Chief Minister, Sports Minister, and Sports Secretary, seeking firm action. Deep Roy, who is a top senior of the team, termed the statements as “wrong and baseless which is without any proof.”

‘Misleading Statements Harm the Game,’ Says Franchise

Bihani earlier claimed that Rajasthan Royals, the Rajasthan Sports Council, and the BCCI worked in coordination to exclude the RCA’s ad hoc committee from IPL-related matters in Jaipur. Responding to this, the franchise stated that such comments were

“misleading” and had inflicted “serious damage” on the reputation of Rajasthan Royals, Royal Multi Sport Private Limited (RMPL), the Sports Council, and the BCCI.

Franchise Highlights Long Standing Partnership

Pointing to their ongoing partnership with the state and local bodies, the Royals emphasised that they have operated in full accordance with BCCI’s rules. Under the present structure, the Rajasthan Sports Council holds rights to host IPL fixtures in Jaipur this season.

The franchise added that all match-related coordination was being done with the Council and BCCI, under the supervision of the state government, to ensure successful tournament conduct.

Previously, Bihani had claimed that RCA had hosted BCCI and ICC matches in the past but was now being excluded from IPL organisation. He alleged the ad hoc committee was denied accreditation and kept away from all event-related processes by the Sports Council.
