First Innings: Tim David’s finishing helped RCB post a decent total

Virat Kohli and Phil Salt provided another great start to RCB and added 61 runs for the first wicket. However, the team couldn’t capitalize on this start as RCB lost four wickets before reaching the 100-run mark.

Salt was the only batter who scored over 30 runs among the first seven batters. Tim David made an unbeaten 37 runs off 20 deliveries. His innings helped RCB post a total of 163 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Vipraj Nigam and Kuldeep Yadav were the pick of the bowlers and took two wickets each. Mukesh Kumar and Mohit Sharma picked one wicket each.

Second Innings: KL Rahul guided DC to their fourth win of the season

DC didn’t have a decent start to their chase and managed just 39 runs in the powerplay. The team lost three wickets in the first six overs. They lost another wicket in the form of Axar Patel in the ninth over. It looked like DC might get bundled out for a mere total.

However, KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs had different plans. They had a partnership of 111 runs and helped DC reach the target of 164 runs in just 17.5 overs. Rahul remained unbeaten on 93 runs off 53 deliveries, while Stubbs scored 38 runs off 23 deliveries and remained not out as well.

For RCB, the turning point was Tim David’s innings as it helped the team post a defendable total on the board. However, KL Rahul’s knock proved to be the real game-changer in this match. His innings helped DC snatch victory out of RCB’s pocket.
