KKR Want Similar Pitch for LSG Clash at Eden Gardens after Win Against SRH: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are being careful about the pitch they want for their next match at eden garden. They will face Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Tuesday afternoon. The match will begin at 3:30 pm.
KKR Hope for Another Dry, Spin-Friendly Surface at Eden Against LSG
KKR had a great game on their previous pitch at Eden. They beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by a massive 80 runs on Thursday. The surface helped their bowlers and suited their style of play. Now, KKR want a similar pitch for the match against LSG.

The new pitch prepared for the upcoming game had a bit more grass on it. But sources from the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) said that the grass has been trimmed. This means the pitch will be dry again. It may support spin and slower bowling, just like the one used against Sunrisers.

Will KKR Get Their Favorite Pitch Again? Final Decision on Sunday
The pitch should behave in a similar way, giving KKR a chance to stick to their winning strategy. During Saturday’s optional practice, KKR head coach Chandrakant Pandit, bowling coach Bharat Arun, and team manager Wayne Bentley were seen talking to Eden curator Sujan Mukherjee. They spent time looking at the pitch used for the last game.
One CAB official shared, “KKR seem eager to play on the same pitch they used last Thursday. But that wicket had chemicals sprayed to help grass grow, so it may not be ready.” He added that the final decision on the pitch will be taken on Sunday.
LSG Face Fines After MI Match
Meanwhile, Lucknow Super Giants have other concerns. Their captain Rishabh Pant has been fined ₹12 lakh. This is due to the team’s slow over rate during their game against Mumbai Indians on Friday in Lucknow.
Also, LSG leg-spinner Digvesh Rathi was fined 50% of his match fee. He broke the IPL code of conduct during the same game. This is Rathi’s second Level I offence this season under Article 2.5. He now has two demerit points.
As both teams prepare for Tuesday’s match, KKR hope to continue their winning momentum, while LSG will look to bounce back from their recent challenges.
