The BCCI has invited all 10 IPL team captains and managers to a meeting on March 20. The meeting will be held at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai.
According to reports, the BCCI and IPL officials have sent emails to the franchises about this meeting. As per Cricbuzz, the meeting will start at 12 PM and last for one hour. The main purpose is to discuss new changes and additions for IPL 2025.
After the meeting, there will be sponsor-related activities at the Taj Hotel. The event will end with a photoshoot featuring all captains. The whole event will last four hours.
Change in Pre-Tournament Tradition
Usually, this meeting takes place in the city where the first IPL match is held. But this year, the BCCI has changed the tradition. Instead of the first match city, the meeting will be in Mumbai.
IPL 2025 Captains List
Axar Patel has recently been announced as the new captain of Delhi Capitals, replacing Rishabh Pant. The other teams have announced their captains earlier, while some of the teams (like Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings) will go ahead with their former captains.

Most IPL 2025 captains and players have already joined their teams. Some players will join after playing in the Champions Trophy 2025.
IPL 2025 To Begin on March 22
The IPL 2025 season will begin on March 22 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The opening match will be between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
