Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have named Sridharan Sriram as their new assistant bowling coach ahead of the 18th season of the Indian Premier League. He will work alongside head coach Stephen Fleming and bowling coach Eric Simmons in the team’s support staff.
Notably, Sridharan Sriram is a former Indian cricketer who played eight ODIs for the national team. A left-arm spinner and handy batter, he scored 81 runs and picked up nine wickets for India. After retiring, he took up coaching roles, working as a spin-bowling coach and consultant for the Australian cricket team for a few years. In the IPL, he has been an assistant coach for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) last season.

CSK to Start IPL 2025 Against Mumbai Indians on March 23
The five-time IPL champions, Chennai Super Kings will begin their campaign in a high-voltage match against their arch-rivals Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 23 at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. After failing to qualify for the playoffs last season, CSK will be looking for a stronger performance in IPL 2025.
